Hesh, I know going in to CA I am going to have to pay 7% of everything I bring to the Montreal show. When I return, I'll be refunded for anything that didn't sell. (I'm not sure I should be holding my breath while waiting for a check).
Now, that's definately for a show and the guitars are definately for sale. I would think that if you have guitars that are "yours" you shouldn't have to pay a duty on them but if you do, you should get it back upon returning to the US.

Hesh, Me and Al are still going, our reservation is made at the local Holiday inn, and yes, we'll have the van to carry your numerous guitars back to my place!
My hope was to bring 2-3 guitars for critical (but kind) review. It's hard to not make that many guitars look like a commercial undertaking.
You could dress like El Kabong!!

They'd leave you alone!!!

Hesh, you don't even need to ask! That was the whole idea!! Glad you like it!

I use Fireworks(Marcromedia- now I think maybe Adobe)Photoshop is a little better, but Fireworks gets the job done!

Here is what I would do to avoid trouble at the border:
Go to your local custom office and have them "register" your guitars. They should make you some kind of paper prooving that you are the owner. (with model, serial number, etc.)
Coming back to US if they ask about the guitar you can then show this paper.
Most probably if you say "nothing to declare" you won't be bothered, but just in case.
